A high-frequency treatment electrode in the form of a hollow body 1, which acts as the inductance in an oscillatory circuit, as in the parent Specification, has two opposed apertures 2, 3 through which part of the body can be placed for treatment. The capacitative elements 12, 13 are mounted clear of the apertures and, for convenience in placing the apparatus in position, the body 1 may be made in two parts joined by a hinge 5.
