877,569. Collapsible box pallets. BALLY SCHUHFABRIKEN A.G., and STREIFF A.G., MATH. April 2, 1958 [April 2, 1957], No. 10647/58. Class 78 (4). [Also in Group XXV] A hinge connection between two rods 8, 9 on adjacent sides of a pallet frame comprises a clip 10 engaging the rods and having two slots 12, 13 engaged, respectively, by pins 16, 17 on the rods to limit the movement of the rods relative to the clip, one slot 13 having a notch 14 for receiving the pin 17 and preventing rotation of the rod 9 to ensure that the other rod 8, when turned, moves through the full extent of its range of rotation relative to the clip. The clip comprises two halves held together by a screw 11, and a bar 15 parallel to the rods is held between the halves by the screw 11 and connects adjacent clips so that they move in unison. The hinge enables adjacent sides of the frame to be turned relative to one another through 360 degrees.
