876,968. Vinyl chloride suspension polymerization. CHEMISCHE WERKE HULS A.G. Jan. 16, 1959 [Aug. 14, 1958], No. 1624/59. Addition to 876,967. Class 2(6). In a modification of the process of the parent Specification, the partial ester of an aliphatic polyalcohol (ingredient (b) of the suspension agent mixture) is replaced by 0À001%-2% by weight of the monomer(s) of a mixed ester of a C 2 - 12 aliphatic carboxylic acid wherein one acid group is esterified with an aliphatic polyhydric alcohol and the remaining group(s) with an aliphatic C 1-20 monohydric alcohol. Acids mentioned are oxalic, malonic, succinic, adipic, maleic, fumaric, aconitic, and citric acids. Polyhydric alcohols mentioned are ethylene, propylene and butylene glycols and polyglycols, glycerin and tri- and higher poly-glycerins, and pentaerythritol. Monohydric alcohols mentioned are ethanol, methanol, the propanols and butanols and fatty alcohols such as stearyl and lauryl alcohols.
