876,646. Extensible asbestos &c. paper. CLUPAK Inc. Oct. 8, 1959 [Oct. 10, 1958], No. 34194/59. Drawings to Specification. Class 96. Asbestos paper &c., which may include mineral fibre dust and a binder, e.g. a heatactivatable resin or up to 5% of starch is compressed longitudinally, e.g. using apparatus such as is disclosed in Specification 727,261, to provide smooth, uncreped surfaces, the fibres being flexed and crowded together within the web. The paper may be contracted whilst moist during manufacture, or may be made plastic by re-wetting.
