Abstract
871,866. Knitting. SCHONFELD, P. Oct. 28, 1957, No. 33563/57. Class 74 (2). In producing a warp knitted fabric having a transverse ribbing effect, on a machine having one row of needles, the textile warp threads 2 forming the transverse ribbing effect are always lapped in the same direction as the warp threads 1 forming the ground fabric and are lapped in turn completely around at least two neighbouring needles, in a loop-forming manner, as at courses I and II and then laid in under the threads 1, as at courses III-VI. Unlapped rubber warp threads 3 are bound in between the threads 1 and 2.
