A mop swab consists of a number of parallel cords 1 which at each end are stitched or otherwise secured to fabric or thermoplastics tapes 4, 5 positioned on one or both sides of the cords. A further cord 6 is then secured about the middle of the swab after the central portions of the cords have been bunched together. U.S.A. Specification 2,825,914 is referred to.
