Abstract

869,717. Shell roofs. SILBERKUHL, W. J. March 2, 1959 [March 3, 1958], No. 7094/59. Class 20(4) A roof shell 1 free from edge flanges is curved in two directions with its upper face concave and its ground plan rectangular and is supported in the vicinity of the upwardly concave ends, and has a negative Gaussian curvature such that the two lines of intersection with the shell of a plane tangential to the midpoint of the shell, where such lines also intersect each other, intersect the edges of the supporting ends of the shell at approximately the level of the centre of gravity of the cross-section at those ends. Specification 827,933 is referred to.
