An adjustable shelf assembly for pallets comprises channel shaped stanchions 10 and 11 connected by 12, 13 and 21 and frame 17 fixed by bracket 15 at 16 so as to form one or more rectangular bays. Inwardly directed brackets 25 on rear stanchion 11 support projection 33 of removable shelf 26 and L-shaped brackets 23 support the also L-shaped lug 31 of the shelf. The shelf may or may not be covered with a sheet material.
