867,697. Photographic cameras. AGFA A G. March 1, 1960 [March 3, 1959], No. 7278/60. Class 98(1) In a single-lens reflex camera having a mirror assembly including a cover plate for screening light penetrating the viewfinder eyepiece from entering the taking lens beam during exposure, the said assembly is arranged for linear movement to remove the mirror from the taking lens beam and to position the said cover plate, and means are provided on said assembly for engagement with a film in the camera to advance the same. The mirror assembly (shown in the viewing position), comprises a slide 4 sliding on a guide 3, a mirror 5, and a cover plate 6. On depression of camera release 12, pin 12a disengages from latch 13 on plate 6, the mirror assembly runs down to the left to the taking position under spring loading, and the shutter release 14 is operated by projection 16 on slide 4. The camera is reset by an anticlockwise rotation of lever 7, whereby cam 9 rigid therewith engages contact member 10 on slide 4 and moves it to the right, spring urged pawl 17 on plate 6 engages in a perforation of the film stored in spoolless cassettes 2 for advancing it to the right, and projection 16 sets the shutter by means, of cocking pin 15.
