[Also in Group XV] A sorting device for sheets of material bearing identifying means (e.g. photographicprints)comprises a plurality of adjoining and converging guideways open at their narrower ends and having identifying means corresponding to those on the sheets of material to be sorted, and a stop disposed adjacent the narrower ends of the guideways so that the sheets placed in the device are brought together at one end in a predetermined order. The guideways are formed by partitions 12, 14, mounted on a baseboard 11, the outer partitions 12 being longer than the inner partitions 14 and meeting at their lower edges to form the stop. A plurality of numbered pegs 22 are also mounted on the baseboard to facilitate the sorting of strips of material (e.g. strips of uncut photographic prints).
