862,465. Fluid-pressure brakes. GRAUBREMSE G.m.b.H. April 8, 1959, No. 11820/59. Class 103 (1). In a servo-arrangement for hydraulic systems, particularly for the operation of vehicle brakes, in which the pressure generated in a control-pipe 23, by the operation of a piston connected with a control lever 22 initiates the servo-effect, and, upon activation of the servo, the control pressure is automatically reduced by enlargement of the capacity of a variable capacity chamber 30 included in the system. A working cylinder 1 with a working piston 7 and an intensifying cylinder 61 with an intensifying piston 20 is directly axially associated and the intensifier piston is fitted with a cylinder containing a displaceable hydraulic control-piston directly operated by hydraulic oil from the variable capacity chambers according to the pressure in the control pipe 23. The intensifier piston is provided with a control cylinder containing an air control piston, operable by the hydraulic control piston, said air control pistons in the control cylinder separating a venting chamber 31, which is in permanent communication with the atmosphere from a valve chamber and containing a connecting channel which is controlled by a valve, the cylinder end-plate which closes the valve chamber being provided with a pressure medium admission valve 13 and an opening for establishing a communication between the valve chamber and a servo chamber, the pressure medium admission valve being combined with the valve for controlling the piston channel in the form of a twin valve 13 in such manner that when the air control piston is displaced by the pressure in the control pipe through the hydraulic control piston, the valve in the control cylinder will first close the piston channel and shut-off the servo-chamber from the atmosphere, and that during the further displacement of the piston, the pressure medium admission valve will open and thus admit the pressure medium into the servo-chamber for operating the servo-piston.
