Abstract
862,256. Checking football-pool coupons. SPINKS, W. H. July 28, 1959 [April 9, 1959], No. 12027/59. Class 16. A device for checking football-pool coupons comprises a plate having a largely opaque surface provided with a row of'windows or like transparent areas and at least one row of apertures aligned, with the windows, and a plurality of removable fingers provided with pin means for engaging- the apertures and selectively masking or unmasking the windows; The plate 31 of transparent plastic material is rendered opaque except for a row of transparent windows numbered 1-18, and is provided with three rows of apertures, 21, 22, 23 with which opaque plastic fingers 32 having two' pins 33, 34 engage to mask 'the windows as shown, or the fingers completely removed from the plate or moved to a position with the pins 33, 34 engaging the apertures 22, 23 respectively, to unmask the windows. The pins 33 may extend upwardly also to facilifate handling of the fingers. The plate which may be provided with one or two 'rows of apertures only, is mounted in a moulded plastic rectangular frame whose sides provide a guide therefor. The plate may be made of metal, frosted or other glass and the frame from wood or metal.
