Abstract

861,994. Cycle saddles. BROOKS & CO. Ltd., J. B. Dec. 10, 1959 [Jan. 1. 19591. No. 17/59. Class 136(3). A flexible plastic under support for a cycle saddle top 2 of the kind consisting of a thin flexible moulding 1 adapted to be secured by rivets 11, 11<SP>1</SP> at opposite ends respectively to the cantle plate 4 and nose-piece 17 of the saddle in close proximity with the saddle top 2, has in its under rear portion one or more elongated slots, or rows of apertures 7, 8, 9 extending in a forward direction from a point or points at the rear of the support towards and/or into the narrow front portion so as to form a plurality of laterally-spaced flexible longitudinal portions 10. One or more longitudinal slots or rows of apertures 12 are provided in the narrow front portion of the support. The rivets 11 are located in holes 14 which are substantially in line with the longitudinal portions 10. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 769,327.
