Abstract
856,555. Shoe bottom presses. SVIT NARODNI PODNIK. Sept. 13, 1957, No. 28919/57. Class 17(1) In a sole-laying and shoe-pressing machine with a plurality of working posts, when a gripping bow 8 is swung outwards about a pivot 7, a shoe B may be introduced laterally into a pressing cushion housing 6. Air or hydraulic pressure in a cylinder 28 causes a lever 25 to push gripping the bow 8 into operative position where it is held by a pawl 27 which engages teeth on an end 17 of the bow. A drum carrying the working posts now rotates and a cam face on a switch 33 trips the pawl 27 and disengages it from the toothed end 17 allowing the bow 8 to be pivoted anticlockwise about the pivot 7 by a spring 39 and the lever 25 to be pushed to the left. This movement lifts members 14, 15, 19 and allows the shoe to be removed.
