Abstract
The higher melting form of a -ethyl-crotonoyl urea is prepared by boiling a -bromo-a -ethylbutyryl urea in water in the presence of urea, which is preferably used in equivalent molecular amount to the bromo-urea. An example is given, the product melting at 190-193 DEG C.
