Abstract

A latex composition for sheathing lubricant surrounding a cardan-joint comprises a butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer with a high nitrile content, ammoniated to pH9, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose as thickener, dispersible zinc oxide, dispersible sulfur, and zinc ethylphenyldithiocarbamate. Alternatively, the pH9 adjustment may be effected by sodium carboxymethyl cellulose and dispersible zinc oxide. Specification 725,881 is referred to.
