854,766. Abrasive brushing. OSBORN MANUFACTURING CO. March 5, 1957 [May 4, 1956], No. 7286/56. Drawings to Specification. Class 60. [Also in Group XXVIII] Metal strip is cleaned by a continuous brushing process in which abrasive is supplied to the interior of hollow brushes which flex the strip as it passes over them and which may be set diagonal to the length of the strip. The brushes may be periodically reversed in rotation and also oscillated slowly along their principal axis (see Group XXVIII). Specifications 809,160, 850,461 and 854,765 are referred to.
