Abstract

853,710. Automatic-exchange systems. AUTOMATIC SWITCHING Ltd. March 7, [March 8, 1957], No. 7775/57. Class 40 (4). [Also in Group XIX] Apparatus for recording the utilization of a circuit comprises means for connecting a pulse source to a recorder when the circuit is in use and time-controlled means for reading the recorder. As described the apparatus may be used for testing radio, telegraph, or telephone circuits. When a circuit is taken into use the related relay, such as RVA, energizes to advance a counter such as LCM1, Fig. 1, indicating the number of times the circuit is used. RVA also energizes a related relay HA which connects up a pulse source to drive a counter such as LCM7 according to the duration of use of the circuit. The pulse source may drive a uniselector type of clock to effect printing from the recorder at hourly intervals, or the counters may be photographed. Alternatively uniselector PS, Fig. 7a, may be advanced at hourly intervals to switch from one set of recording counters to another.
