[Also in Groups XX and XL (c)] A moisture control unit, such as for use in turning sprays on and off in a greenhouse, comprises a circuit with a moisture detector which, when the moisture is sufficient, conducts and the relay is de-energized, the sprays being turned off. The detector consists of two carbon or other non-corrosive electrodes 4, 5, embedded in an insulating body 6 so that one end of each rod lies substantially in the same plane as one surface 7 of body 6. A disc or cap of absorbent silk or other absorbent or porous material may be fitted over the surface 7 and dummy electrodes may be provided having a surface substantially level with surface 7.
