In a fish-plate for connecting overhead conveyer rails the slots for the clamping bolts are of oblong section and are so disposed that the major axis of the slots 1, in the end of the fishplate associated with the rail 2, extend vertically while the major axis of the slots 3 associated with the rail 4 extend horizontally.
