Abstract

849,917. Injection moulding shoes. PLASTIFLEX S. A. Dec. 28, 1956 [Dec. 29, 1955], No. 39471/56. Class 87(2). An injection moulding machine for moulding soles onto footwear has two pivoted side panels 5, 7 and a pivoted lid 9 co-operating to form a box surrounding a last 13, the whole assembly being movable through 90 degrees to bring an orifice 21 into line with an injection nozzle. The side panels 5, 7 have changeable plates 14, 15 and the last 13 is changeable for moulding different sized shoes. The mould parts are clamped together by catches 30, 33 the assembly is moved through 90 degrees from the chain dotted position of Fig. 6, to the horizontal by a pinion and segment mechanism 49 and rotated about a pivot 44 to bring the orifice 21 to the injection machine.
