Abstract

848,030. Piezo-electric flexure crystals. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO. Ltd. Oct. 6, 1958 [Feb. 3, 1958], No. 3441/58. Class 40(8). An XY nexure crystal in the form of a roar of square or near square cross-section is provided with similar electrodes on its four elongated faces. The +5‹ X-cut crystal 1 is provided with four electrodes P which entirely cover the four major faces except in the vicinity of the longitudinal edges. The crystal is supported by two pairs of wires W which are attached to a cage comprising rods R and end dics D of e.g. mica. The supports also provide connections for the electrodes, opposite pairs being connected in common.
