Abstract

A heat-protective coating for processing aluminium base shells for electric lamps comprises from 3% to 30% by weight sodium borophosphate, from 10% to 15% by weight sodium polyacrylate, and from 55% to 87% by weight water. The composition may also contain up to 5% by weight of ammonium polyacrylate or potassium silicate in place of an equivalent amount of water.
