Abstract

847,400. Rudders. UECKER, G. Sept. 26, 1957 [Sept. 28, 1956; March 27, 1957; May 20, 1957], No. 30180/57. Class 114. A main rudder 3, Fig. 1, pivoted at 2 at its leading edge has its upper and lower end surfaces 5, 4 extended forward to provide a mounting for the shaft 6 of an auxiliary rudder 7. The embodiments of Figs. 2 and 10 have one and two auxiliary rudders respectively, the deflection of which is limited by stops 8. Fig. 6 shows a box-type main rudder 9, the inner wall surfaces of which limit the deflection of the auxiliary rudder 6.
