[Also in Group XXX] A box 1 for collecting cut extruded granules has below the cutting point 13, an inclined baffle 4 which is continuously irrigated by liquid coolant. The coolant issues from a pipe 9 and washes the granules into a delivery trough 5. The wall 2 of the box 1 may also be continuously irrigated to prevent adhesion of any granules which may bounce off the baffle 4. A peep-hole 16 is provided and the box is vented at 19 and illuminated internally by an electric bulb; Fig. 2 (not shown).
