A growth stimulating animal feed for simple stomached (i.e non-ruminant) animals, e.g. chickens, pigs, cats, dogs, contains a glucocorticoid in an amount between 0,001 and 1,0 mg. per kg. of the feed and preferably between 0,01 and 0,1 per kg. of feed.
