Abstract

843,413. Forming beads on rubber gloves &c. LONDON RUBBER CO. Ltd. March 17, 1959 [Dec. 17, 1957], No. 39247/57. Class 87(2). A bead is formed on the edge of a glove 2 made by dipping from latex, by placing the glove either right side or inside out on a rotatable mandrel 1, moving the edge away from the mandrel by a knife 4 and supplying a swelling agent to the space between the mandrel and the glove to cause the material to roll down. A groove 5 is provided in the mandrel to receive the bead so formed. Adhesive may be applied to the material to make the bead permanent.
