842,934. Brushes ; abrasive tools. OSBORN MANUFACTURING CO. Aug. 7, 1957, No. 24907/57. Classes 19 and 60. Brush or abrasive material 4, 5, 6 projecting from a channel-shaped back 20 is formed of flat fingers 15 cut from sheet material and interconnected by means other than -the channel back within the back. Rectangular strips may be cut from a sheet and formed into V. The V-strips are connected at the base of the V by a layer of fabric secured to the strips, which may be of metal or fabric impregnated or coated with synthetic plastics and/or abrasives. Notches and/or slots may be made in the sides of to extend towards or bevond the centre of the rectangular strips which are then bent so as to have a V-cross-section. Several of these strips may be superimposed. Various configurations of the channels for retaining the material are described. Specifications 645,407 and 842,933 are referred to.
