A siphon box for gas mains has an integral dip pipe 3 having an open bottom and a preferably screw-threaded outlet bore 4. The pipe is preferably cast integral with a vertical wall of the box and bore 5 for flexible coupling members 6 for gas pipes are provided either on top of or on opposite sides of the box. The bottom of the box has support dimples 2.
