Abstract

842,191. Slip-casting machines. EDWARDS & JONES Ltd. Dec. 12, 1958 [Dec. 20, 1957], No. 39749/57. Class 87(2). The pouring of slip from a hopper 15 into moulds 11 on an intermittently rotating table 10 is controlled by a switch 45 operated by a cam 46 in the table drive, and a switch 50 operated by a mould under the hopper, slip only being poured when both switches are operated. The period of the pouring is controlled by a timer or in a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), by a modified cam 46 which includes means for adjusting the pouring period.
