Abstract

An aluminium paste or paint composition contains an oxidation-reduction indicator which does not react chemically with aluminium for the purpose of restraining gassing. Examples are given of pastes of aluminium with hydrocarbon solvents containing diphenylamine, phenol-indo-2 : 6-dichlorophenol and ethoxy-chrysoidine.
