Abstract

840,495. Tyre-moulding machines. McNEIL MACHINE & ENGINEERING CO. April 16, 1958 [Aug. 21, 1957], No. 12067/58.. Class 87(2). In a dual tyre moulding press having a lower mould 1 and a pivoted upper mould 2, the green tyre bands are fed by a pivoted chuck 25 on to the lower bead 3, and if a band is not positioned correctly a swinging arm 60 paving a spring extension 61 hits the band causing a switch to open and stop the upper mould 2 from closing.
