Abstract

839,206. Sound and picture apparatus. AUTOMATIC TELEPHONE & ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Jan. 14, 1958 [Feb. 5, 1957], No. 3861/57. Class 40 (2). Apparatus for advancing a film strip FS in a projector PR in accordance with commentary on a magnetic record tape having a second track containing control signals which are picked up by a head FCRH to operate a relay R to energize an electric motor M having associated therewith a notched cam assembly CA whereby the motor remains energized after the release of the relay until the motor has advanced the film strip by one frame. The cam assembly is provided with means for presenting double the number of notches to the follower according to whether it is desired to move the film an amount corresponding to a picture comprising one frame or two frames on standard 35 mm. film.
