Abstract

838,677. Sun blinds. BAUER, J. July 23, 1958, No. 23633/58. Class 20(3) A blind is carried by side levers 7 assuming an inclined position when extended, each lever having connected to it a roller 3 which is also connected to drawing means 5, 6 separate from the lever, and the lever being constrained to pivot as the rear end moves along a guide 1 that inclines upwardly at least near its outer end. In Fig. 2 the constraint is provided by causing the roller 3 to move along a horizontal guide 2, in Fig. 4 roller 4A is connected to the drawing means 5, 6 and the lever 7 slidingly pivots on a roller 3A. The guide 1 may be horizontal at its inner end and slope sharply upwards towards the outer end so that the levers 7 assume an inclined position only when the blind is almost fully extended. The blind may be of translucent or coloured plastic slats.
