An attachment ring for a colostomy receiver has an inturned flange in its central passage to retain a packing of absorbent material. In the form shown, the attachment has an outer flange 5 for attachment to the abdomen and an inner flange and groove 4 around which the opening of the receiver is fitted. The retaining- flange 6 is formed within the central passage so that an absorbent packing may be placed in the space 2 around the protruding colon.
