Abstract
837,313. Tank linings. HALFORD, B. H. G. March 12, 1958 [Dec. 12, 1956: Sept. 13, 1957]. Nos. 38012/56 and 28944/57. Class 69 (1). The cistern is formed of a plurality of assembled sections (Fig. 1) each comprising a rectangular tray-like part formed of a water-impermeable synthetic resin, such as high-impact styrene resin or fibre glass. Alternatively, the tray-like part may be formed from a compound material in which at least that surface which forms the inner surface of the cistern is provided by a layer of synthetic resin material. Each tray-like part is filled with a thermally insulating material 8 such as wood wool. Alternatively as shown in Fig. 3 the cistern comprises an inner liner 19 and an outer shell 20. The liner 19 is formed of a mouldable water-impermeable synthetic resin and the shell 20 of thermally insulating material.
