832,086. Burglar alarms. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd., DYOTT, R. B., and STENNING, L. C. July 22, 1958 [April 23, 1957], No. 2475/57. Drawings to Specification. Class 118 (1). [Also in Group XL (c)] In an intruder detection system a transmitter excites a transmission line and a receiver is arranged to respond to energy reflected due to the presence of an intruder near to the line. The transmitter may emit pulses and the receiver actuate an alarm or display the position of the intruder on a display tube. The system can be adapted to discriminate between fixed and moving objects, and the transmitter and receiver connected to the same or adjacent lines. Specification 718,597 is referred to.
