Abstract
830,216. Lift control systems. INVENTIO A.G. Oct. 8, 1956 [Oct. 19, 1955], No. 30540/56. Class 78 (3). A lift control device for arranging the order in which landing calls are answered, comprises a selector which searches the landing call circuit step by step in a predetermined order and causes the calls to be answered in that order. The selector comprises arms 1, 2 which are moved clockwise only over contacts 3-6 and 7-10 by a motor 12, and the circuit includes landing push button switches 131-134, which are operatively connected by means (not shown) with contacts 141-144, relays 151-154 which each control movement of the car to a selected floor, door closed switches 19, a floor switch 20, slow to close contacts 18 which are closed when the car is braked, and a relay 17 having contacts 171, 172. In operation, closing of one landing switch, e.g. 133, also closes contacts 143 thereby causing the arms 1, 2 to move to contacts 5, 9 whereupon relay 17 is energized so stopping motor 12 and, if switches 18-20 are closed, closing a circuit to relay 153 which then drives the car to the third floor. As soon as the car is free again the arms 1, 2 move clockwise to select the next operated landing call. According to a modification (Fig. 2, not shown) the apparatus is incorporated in a system having means for storing landing calls. In a further modification (Fig. 3, not shown) the device modifies a system of the kind in which the car normally moves to the highest unanswered down call then answers registered down calls in turn until fully loaded whereafter it passes further down calls, by causing the car to return to the highest previously passed down call on its next run. If one stop is of greater importance than the others the sets of contacts 3-6, 7-10 may each include more than one contact for that floor.
