[Also in Group XXV] A device adapted to act as or simulate a door knocker comprises a knocker-like element 1 pivoted to lugs 5 of a support 2, movement of the element 1 from its normal position depressing a push-button 11 by means of a cam surface 12 to close spring contacts 9, which control an audible signal emitter. The knocker may be of U-form and pivoted at its free ends, and may be combined with the usual letter-box.
