Abstract

Concrete pipes are provided with an unreinforced lining by spinning them about their axes and applying an unsaturated alkyd or other polyester resin, or an epoxy resin to the inside surfaces, and allowing the resin to set while the pipes are spinning, without the application of heat. The lining may be carried round the edges and over the outside of the pipe at the ends. Chemically inert inorganic fillers may be included in the coating.
