Abstract

The invention of the parent Specification is modified mainly in that only the layer with the lowest permeability need be extendable and it constitutes one working surface. The body may consist of three layers of springs resting on a plastic support, the springs in any one layer engaging with one another. The springs in adjacent layers may also be engaged with one another. The body may consist of extendable plastic or metal wire nets of increasing permeability from layer to layer, connected together. The above wire nets may include chain links or woven wire fabrics. Alternatively the body may consist of layers of drained and dried plastic foam. A foam agent may be included, and may be allowed to remain or be rinsed out before use. In a further example the lowermost layer may be mounted in a disc which also has other alternative lowermost layers mounted in it, all spaced apart, and these may be moved sequentially into position by rotation of the disc.ALSO:The invention of the parent Specification (which is referred to) is modified mainly in that only the layer with the lowest permeability need be extendable and it constitutes one working surface.
