821,906. Packages. GRACE & CO., W. R. July 29, 1957, No. 23946/57. Class 94(1). A food package is formed by wrapping the article in a heat shrinkable wrapper with edges overlapping along the article and ends protruding beyond it, twisting the ends and subjecting the package to heat to remove air and shrink the wrapper about the aritlce. The wrapper may be composite with an attached or separate inner printed portion 11 and a thinner outer portion 10. A closure strip 15 consisting of a deformable wire 19 enclosed between tapes 18 may be enclosed by the wrapper, the ends of the strip being twisted in with those of the wrapper to retain the latter in position. The package may be immersed in hot water to produce the shrinking.
