Abstract

<PICT:0819701/III/1> A floating soap tablet contains a floatable mass 2 of foamed thermoplastic material, suitably foamed polystyrol, disposed in a recess in the body of the soap, the mass being sealed against the entry of water by means of a cover disc 3, which is preferably transparent and made of a substance such as cellulose acetate so that advertising or other printed matter may be placed beneath it. The edge of the cover disc may either be flat, as shown, or more desirably, may be flanged, the flanges either being pressed to the wall of the recess or into the tablet itself.
