Class 97(1) In a film magazine a pressure plate is mounted on resilient members extending through film channels formed between outer and inner walls of the magazine and the film is pinched where it leaves and enters the magazine. The film A does not cover the raised lateral margins of the pressure plate 38 and these raised margins are engageable by the film gate a of a camera to face the film from the pressure of the resilient members. As shown, a pressure plate portion is stamped in a leaf spring 18 for which the parts 20 of inner wall 22 form a counter support. The inner surface of wall 11 of the bottom portion of the magazine has a stepped portion which guides the film by engaging only its perforated margin, there being no corresponding stepped portion on lid 27. Take-up core 23 has a ratchet tooth engaging upstanding tongue 36 of spring plate 35 to prevent the core from rotating in the reverse direction. A similar tongue 37 is provided to brake the supply spool core 24. A bar 50. engaging only a perforated margin of the film, extends between the cores from pivot 51 and prevents the film coils from rubbing together.
