Abstract
818,466. Measuring angles. MULLARD RADIO VALVE CO. Ltd. March 13, 1957. [May 24, 1956], No. 16178/56. Class 40 (3). In an apparatus for measuring the angle between a fixed marker 7 and an adjustable marker 8, pulses from a generator P are passed to a counter C through a gate G which is opened and closed when a marker 6 on a rotor 3 passes the markers 7, 8 respectively, means S being provided for synchronizing the pulse generator P and the rotor 3. In one form, the pulse generator directly controls the drive for the rotor. In another form, Fig. 2, a supplementary counter Cf is provided which by means of a feedback p applies a correction to the pulse generator P. Specifications 770,920 and 814,323, [both in Group XXXVIII], are referred to.
