817,092. Discharge tubes. PLESSEY CO. Ltd. Aug. 16, 1957 [Aug. 31, 1956], No. 26634/56. Class 39(1). A grid support or other rod 3 is secured in an elecbrode support member 1 by providing on the rod a shoulder 4 which abuts against one face of the support and fusing or melting the free end of the rod to form a head 5. The support shown is a ceramic member 1 enclosed in a metal frame 2, as described in Specification 817,091.
