Abstract

815,424. Fixing lighting globes. MATTICOLA, J. M. H. Sept. 4, 1957 [Oct. 4, 1956], No 27880/57. Class 75(2) [Also in Group XXV] The globe 4 of a lighting apparatus or fixture is removably secured on a carrier 1 by a device comprising a guide 5 of annular or closed form fixed to the carrier 1 and held at a small distance from the upper face of the carrier as by means of diametrically extending spindles 6 and a helical spring 7 having a torus shape coiled about the guide 5 by which it is held, the spring 7 being distortable by diametrically squeezing the torus as indicated in full lines in the Figure for permitting the globe to be placed in position, whereafter, as shown in broken line, the spring 7 elastically resumes its diametrically expanded position engaging the inside of the rim portion of the globe.
