Abstract
815,105. Tanks. PNEUMATIQUES & CAOUTCHOUC MANUFACTURE KLEBERCOLOMBES. Dec. 28, 1955 [Dec. 28, 1954], No. 37136/55. Class 69 (1). Loss of liquids such as oils and petroleum products by evaporation from large reservoirs is minimized by the use of a float 3 (see Fig. 1) covering the surface of the liquid and consisting of a rigid framework supporting panels of rigid polyvinylchloride foam. The framework may be of aluminium alloy or reinforced plastic, assembled inside the reservoir 1 when empty, and consisting of I-section members 7, 9 and 12 (see Fig. 2) so that the panels of P.V.C. foam, such as 8, may be retained by them. A sealing ring built up of plastic sheets may be provided at the periphery of the float.
