Classes 65(2) and 89(1) In a hinge-fitting for a closet-seat the shank 5 extending through the fixing-hole of the pan, and the nut 10 securing it therein, are made of plastic-materials of different relative-hardness. Preferably, the shank is moulded from polythene and the nut, which has external-ribs 11, from polyvinylchloride. The body-part 1 and the pivot-element 4 may be moulded integral with the shank, or may be made separately. Dish-shaped washers 8, 9, made of resilient-material are provided on each side of the fixing-hole.
