Abstract

809,287. Fluid-pressure servomotor-control systems. SIEMENS-SCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. July 12, 1955 [July 12, 1954], No. 20203/55. Class 135. In an automatic feed water control system for a forced circulation boiler comprising a feed water regulator RSp adjustable by a loadsetting device STLa and by a main temperature controller RT1 to which is fed a signal characteristic of the temperature at a first location SSp1 in the circulation system, the feed water regulator is also subject to a control signal from at least one auxiliary temperature controller such as RT2, to which is fed a signal characteristic of the temperature at a location SSp2 in the steam flow downstream from the first location, the controllers RT1, RT2 also being fed with signals characteristic of the desired temperatures at the respective locations under the prevailing load conditions. Such an arrangement minimizes time lags occurring in the regulation due to the thermal capacity of the system. As shown, two auxiliary temperature controllers RT2, RT3 are provided. Each of these are of the type giving control in accordance with the deviation and the rate of change of deviation of the variable. The controller RT1 however, operates also according to the time integral of the deviation. A signal XD representative of the load factor, in this case boiler pressure P acts on a follow-up type pressure controller RD supplying a signal YD to the load setting device STLa. The latter by means of signals WK, WL, WSp respectively adjusts the coal supply regulator RK, the air supply regulator RL, and the feed water regulator RSp. The feed water regulator is adjusted through a follow-up type controller STu which also adjusts a further relay STT by which signals representative of the desired values of the stage temperatures at the prevailing load are fed to the controllers RT1, RT2, RT3, respectively. The circulation system comprises sections SSp1, SSp2, SSp3, &c. and the temperature pick-off points T1, T2, T3 are adjacent the outlet of these sections. The main temperature regulator RT1 also adjusts the coal supply regulator RK. The feed-water regulator RSp is also subject to a signal XSN which is a measure of the temperature deviation at an auxiliary heating surface SN in parallel with the first stage whereby a rapid response of the internal temperature of the first stage is obtained.
